WORD WHAMMY!

WORD WHAMMY! is an amazing card game.
And... OMG! You can print it out and play it for free!
WHAT IS IT? HOW DO I PLAY?
In WORD WHAMMY! two to four player collect letters to form target words and score points.

There is a basic game for kids of all ages. It only uses the LETTER CARDS and the TARGET CARDS.
When you're ready, add the WHAMMY! CARDS to play the advanced game for sneaky, silly fun.
SET UP:
Shuffle the LETTER CARDS and deal FIVE cards to each player. (Don’t show your cards to other players.)
Put the remaining letter cards (face down) in the center of the table. That’s the DRAW PILE.
Turn over 1 card to start the DISCARD PILE.
Shuffle the TARGET CARDS and turn EIGHT cards face up next to the draw pile.
Pick a player to go first. Then move clockwise to the next player.
TAKE YOUR TURN:
1) DRAW CARDS
Either take two cards from the DRAW PILE or take one card from the DISCARD PILE. Add them to your hand.
If the DISCARD PILE is empty, flip a card from the top of the DRAW PILE.
Keep as many cards in your hand as you want, but use them to make words whenever possible!

2) SPELL… IF YOU CAN
Use your letters to form a word that matches one of the TARGET CARDS. Take that card and your letters and put them in front of you. Turn over a new card.
You don’t have to make a word, though. Sometimes you’ll want to save up letters to get more points.
3) LETTERS YUCKY? MAYBE YOU’RE LUCKY!
If you haven’t spelled a word yet you can shout “I can’t spell anything!” Discard all your cards and draw five new ones. Then your turn is done.
4) END WITH FIVE CARDS
If you spelled a word and have less than five cards, take cards from the DRAW PILE until you have five. Your turn is done.
WINNING THE GAME:
As soon as there are ten words on the table… the round is over!
Add up all the points on your TARGET CARDS.
You can play a quick one-round game, a three-round battle, or pick a score and play until somebody reaches it.
ADD THE WHAMMY! CARDS FOR MORE FUN!
Shuffle the WHAMMY! CARDS into the DRAW PILE.
When you start a round, discard any WHAMMY! CARDS you get.
Then, whenever you draw one, follow the directions immediately.
After you follow the instructions on a card, set it aside until the next round. Each WHAMMY! can only be used once per round.
